Motivation Found

Friday night (actually 4:30 am Saturday morning) I woke up and couldn't go back to bed.  Instead of wrestling with myself (and the covers) I decided to bring my laptop into bed and check out this blog that I mentioned on Friday.  There aren't a ton of posts up yet (3 pages worth) so it was a somewhat quick read to finish all of the content posted.  Her blog (among other things) is a great reminder to me that I should always be a  responsible consumer.  While I'm hard pressed to part with my money for most items (I am only human) and sometimes have a weakness for anything black or gray or navy blue for that matter.  Her blog posts also made me think of this post that I wrote about last week.  While pictures of cluttered rooms don't make me want to declutter, Confessions of A Shopaholic Hoarder made me want to pair down (the little that I own) even more.

Hoarding

I haven't checked out the show Hoarders (yet) but it's on my to-do list to watch old episodes over the holidays.  Hoarding is serious and should be treated as a disorder (and those seeking help should find trained professionals).  If you think you might be a hoarder, check out the NSGCD's scale here on pages 5 and 6.  I bring up hoarding today because I just found out about a blog written by a self-proclaimed hoarder.   The blog is called, Confessions of a Shopaholic Hoarder.  The blogger (female, don't know her name yet) is using this platform to get motivation, accountability and most of all, break free from the guilt and judgement she places on herself.  I'll definitely be catching up on previous posts and bringing back highlights and helpful tips to you guys.
