this topic came up yesterday when i was having brunch with some friends. a newlywed couple at the table got married in their early 30s and already had a home stocked full of things. instead of doing a traditional registry, they instead requested donations that would go towards their honeymoon. if invitees chose this gift route, they were directed to a website set up for the happy twosome. guests could put funds toward a romantic dinner in italy or vespa rentals along the amalfi coast. to me, this feels much more memorable than any gift found at pottery barn. and experience gifts aren't just for weddings. i personally love to give mani/pedi gift certificates to my closest girlfriend--and who doesn't love a trip to the spa?! i also found
