Like with like. Huh? Exactly. When professional organizers say, "let's organize your belongings using the rule, like with like," what he/she means is organizing items by color, shape, size or function. As you can see, I organized the drum kit in my SCION by size, function (and coincidentally, color). On one side of the car, all of the circular drums of similar size are stacked on top of one another. On the opposite side, cymbal stands and drum accessories are grouped together (silver on one side, black on the other). When organizing a drawer or space, decide how you're going to group your items. It will be much easier for you to keep that spot organized if you follow the rule, like with like.
