annoying sounds--my alarm clock, birds chirping at night when i'm trying to fall asleep, and the volume button on my laptop. i can't do anything about the first two but i've got the last one in the bag. pressing shift when you increase or decrease the volume on your mac = sweet silence.ps; i really want one of these hand made plates found here
