google reminders

last week when i sent out the bneato january newsletter, i noticed that unclutterer did a post on google reminders. while entirely coincidental, i too, included a quick tip on using google reminders in my newsletter. i was quite thrilled that i was giving tips to my readers that unclutterer (mega organizing site) was giving to theirs. if you're not already using this bit of organizing awesome-ness, it's probably because you don't know about it... yet.

Here's my quick tip when using google reminders:

there is no reason for paying bills late--especially when there's google reminders to the rescue. you can set up these cool features through google calendar where you choose to get reminders via email, text message--and even get your daily agenda sent to you. it's kinda like having a personal assistant (without having to fork over any dough). start being awesome today!

organized greeting cards

i've always dreamed of creating a line of organized greeting cards (no kidding). luckily, a few folks have a head start to give me some inspiration. i love that the inside of each card reads, "this card is good for one week, then you have my permission to toss it." right now, my holiday cards line a table in my kitchen--but as soon as the holidays are over, into the recycling bin they go.

bathroom products

if your bathroom is slim on storage space (most are) don't try and store all your products in the bathroom. instead, carve out a shelf in the linen closet for products you don't use every day. some items might include medicine, hair products for a fancy 'do or sun tan lotion. use your medicine cabinet and drawer storage for items you use daily. if you find that there is some overflowing of products even after you pared down, get creative with storage. over the door shoe pockets work wonders for the bathroom. also, i've always loved this post from Unclutterer on using up all of the contents from a product before buying any new ones.

Wall of Tables

I spotted this wall of chopped up tables on one of my favorite organizing blogs, Unclutterer. Looking at them, I'm reminded of Alice in Wonderland or Tim Burton. Not sure why two days in a row, I'm finding office spaces that remind me of my childhood but I'm just going with it. The shelving is unique and functional) not to mention, recycled. This would be an awesome office space to keep tidy and neat.
